July 7, 14, 21, 28, 2022 | 4 pm – 7 pm PT | Preparing Your Fiction For Submission | 2022 Women Who Submit Virtual Summer Writers Workshop

The goal of this workshop is to help fiction writers prepare their work for submission in an inclusive, supportive environment. Classes include writing exercises to allow writers to flex their creative muscles as well as workshops of existing work. Each writer will workshop one manuscript (a short story or a novel excerpt of up to 4,500 words, submitted as part of the application). During workshops, we’ll help writers realize their intentions for their work by discussing with them the strengths of their manuscripts as well as areas for improvement in light of various craft issues (e.g., characterization, voice, point of view, structure, plot, setting, detail, theme).

This workshop meets on Zoom and is open to Women Who Submit members only. Applications are open between May 1st and May 31st. For application requirements, please click here.
