A life affirming experience, revisited.

A few years ago, my twin sister, Lisanne, and I participated in the Love Your Body Now Project, the brainchild of writer, actress, blogger, and life coach, Shannon Bradley-Colleary.

Shannon collaborated on the project with two other talented, inspiring women, photographer Beth Sanders, who was also a participant in the project, and career/body centered coach Marlene Zaleznick. The project aimed to heal body image issues by coupling fine art nude photography with body centered empowerment coaching in order to help women embrace themselves as whole, centered beings. Beth and Marlene went on to found The Worthiness Project to help women feel beautiful from the inside out through body-centered coaching combined with empowering photo shoots.

I wrote about participating in the project, and Shannon wrote a wonderful post that caught the attention of the Daily Mail Online and led to a follow up in article written by Annabel Fenwick Elliott. The photo shoot also was named on The Gloss in the post “7 of the Most Body Positive NSFW Photo Shoots Ever.”
